CMR Cricket Bats
The Wood
Made from Salix Alba Caerulea willow, CMR cricket bats are of the highest quality. The trees themselves are usually found in wet or poorly-drained soil at the edge of pools, lakes or rivers. Its wide-spreading roots take up moisture from a large surrounding area. With it being a fast-growing willow, it is a highly sustainable product which can be quickly replenished.

Although the willow itself is very tough to withstand the impact and force of hitting a cricket ball, it is lightweight in the pick up making it the perfect choice for players of all ages.
The Production
Once the trees have been felled, the wood is then sectioned and portioned in to smaller blocks in order to be ready for shaping in to bats.

When these blocks are portioned out, we are left with the cleft that will then be used for the blade of the bat.

At this stage, the wood is then pressed in order to give it durability and be able to deal with the impact of the cricket ball.

Next stage is to fit the handle. The blade is sliced at the top to accommodate the additional wood and glued together.

The bat is then shaped to specific requirements and sanded down for a quality finish.
